Magda C Rodriguez represents a variety of health care entities, including health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, and physician practices.  She counsels these health care entities in operational and regulatory matters, litigation avoidance and provides representation in civil litigation and government investigations.

Ms. Rodriguez has experience in medical billing and insurance claims.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Rodriguez worked for a physician practice resolving insurance disputes and denials of claims.  She also assisted the physician practice with its compliance with the regulatory requirements of HIPAA which were evolving at the time.

This experience has also assisted in the defense of several class action lawsuits involving claims related to insurance payments and coordination of benefits under insurance policies.

Ms. Rodriguez additionally assists hospitals with operational matters, such as physician peer reviews; revision of medical staff bylaws and policies; and National Practitioner Data Bank (NPBD) reporting requirements.
