Walter J. Taché, Managing Partner



Walter J. Tache is an AV Preeminent rated attorney who concentrates his practice on complex commercial, business, class action, and other civil litigation in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels.

Mr. Tache represents clients in internal investigations, whistleblower suits and fraud-related civil litigation.

Mr. Tache also has experience in international disputes, ranging from jurisdictional disputes, including application of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, Foreign judgment defense, enforcement, and asset recovery, coordinating parallel litigation in the U.S. and internationally, and extradition. MORE

Stephen J. Bronis, Partner



Stephen Bronis concentrates his practice on complex litigation, including financial fraud, business fraud, federal program fraud, health care fraud, securities fraud and regulatory fraud, and abuse cases.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Bronis served as Chief of the Felony Division of the Dade County Public Defenders Office. In 1998, he was nominated to become a justice of the Florida Supreme Court. MORE

Marissel Descalzo, Partner



Marissel Descalzo focuses her practice on white-collar criminal litigation, government investigations, and compliance. Ms. Descalzo has participated in numerous trials to verdict. She handles criminal and civil matters of vital importance to clients’ businesses or their personal lives. Individuals and organizations, accused of fraud and/or deceptive practices, rely on Marissel’s extensive experience to assist and advise them on corporate governance and compliance matters, including in the area of anti-money laundering. Ms. Descalzo regularly counsels companies from a variety of industries on the adoption and operation of their compliance programs and, in particular, assists companies in the health care industry and companies with overseas operations with internal investigations and ethics issues. Magda C. Rodriguez, Partner



Magda Rodriguez represents a variety of health care entities, including health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, and physician practices.  She counsels these health care entities in operational and regulatory matters, litigation avoidance and provides representation in civil litigation and government investigations.

Ms. Rodriguez has experience in medical billing and insurance claims.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Rodriguez worked for a physician practice resolving insurance disputes and denials of claims.  She also assisted the physician practice with its compliance with the regulatory requirements of HIPAA which were evolving at the time.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Rodriguez was an intern in the legal department of a Fortune 100 healthcare company. MORE

Jessica Melendez, Associate



Jessica Melendez focuses her practice on the health care industry.  She assists health care entities such as hospitals, health systems and physician practices in operational and regulatory matters, government and internal investigations and litigation.

Ms. Melendez has a wide-range of experience in the health care industry.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Melendez received a bachelor’s degree in Health and Societies with a concentration in Health Policy and Law.  She also interned for the general counsel of one of the largest hospitals in Puerto Rico.  While in law school, Ms. Melendez worked in the legal department of a national health care solutions company, interned for the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals, and participated in a clinic which assisted indigent clients with obtaining health care benefits. MORE

Stefano Battistoni, Associate


Stefano Battistoni graduated from the University of Miami where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Music and a minor specializing in Business Law. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Mr. Battistoni attended and graduated, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

While attending law school, Mr. Battistoni had the opportunity to intern for both the Felony Division and Gangs Unit at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, as well as the Labor/Employment Division at The City of Miami – Office of the City Attorney. MORE
